The Game: Chili. Chili con Carne. Texas Red. Whatever you call that savory concoction of meat, grease, and fire, it is without a doubt the natural child of the arguing state of mind. There's no standard recipe - only curiosity and debate - and almost anyone's first thought after a taste of somebody else's version, no matter how much it pleases the palate, is that they could do it better. But to truly appreciate chili, one has to do more than taste it. One has to experience first-hand what it's like to earn each ingredient; to have to stare deep into its restless, lonely heart. We offer your group the unique opportunity to participate in this great debate. Your attendees will see this fiery delight through from start to finish. After creating the best darn chili ever, each team will design a marketing campaign to promote their culinary marvel. Our Executive Chef will judge each team's chili and announce the winning team after tasting all of the entries. Tools:

The Game: Southwestern Salsa, Mango Salsa, Smoked Salsa. Whatever you call that savory concoction of fresh tomatoes, spices, and sometimes fiery hot ingredients, your meeting attendees will find this activity to be their favorite group event of all time. There's no standard recipe, but our Chef has put together a few basic beginner Salsa making suggestions to get your group started off with a bang. To truly appreciate the Salsa Challenge, one has to do more than taste it. One has to experience first-hand what it's like to chop, grill, and season all of those fresh ingredients, create a Salsa masterpiece and dazzle their teammates with their creativity. Your group can participate in this great challenge. Your group will be broken up into teams in which they will see a Southwestern or Smokey Salsa come to life in their very own hands. After they've created their recipe, they'll create a marketing plan to promote their culinary triumph. Our Executive Chef will judge the Salsas created by each team and select the winning team. If he's impressed enough with the winning Salsa, he may just add that team's creation to the Resort's very own menu - making them a legend at Carefree Resort & Conference Center for many years to come!
